BENIN CITY — An Edo State High Court sitting in Benin City has officially terminated all criminal proceedings against renowned legal practitioner Douglas Ogbankwa, Esq., striking out the charges following the entry of a nolle prosequi by the Attorney-General of Edo State.
The matter, which arose from an acrimonious property litigation brief where Ogbankwa had acted as trial counsel for a family estate, was dismissed after official state legal review confirmed that legitimate legal representation in civil land disputes must never be subjected to criminal intimidation.
